AJHL Pre Season - August 28th

A busy night of AJHL exhibition play, with seven games on the schedule:

Sherwood Park Crusaders - 4  St Albert Steel - 2
Stefan Bazar, Mike Small, Jackson Dudley, and Armando Mazzocca scored for the Crusaders, while Peace region native Spencer Pommells and Topher Flanagan replied for the Steel. 


Spruce Grove Saints - 4    Drayton Valley Thunder - 3  (SO)
Details of the shoot out were not available.  Kye Benjaminlen, Cole Galka and Justin Bardaran scored for the Saints in regulation, while Shane Oatway, James Friedel and Shawn Proulx replied for the Thunder. 
Camrose Kodiaks - 6    Calgary Mustangs - 1
Nolan Marshall, Nolan Kaiser, Jonathan Lashyn, Clayton Jardine, Brooks Myers, and Joel Paiement scored for the RBC Cup hostsm who picked up their first win of the pre season.  Chris Lijdsman replied for the Mustangs. 

St. Albert Steel - 4   Drayton Valley Thunder - 1
Reed Linaker had a goal and an assist for the Steel.  Other markers were added by Jesse Altheim, Baxter Niziol, and Jeremy Olynyk.  Felex-Antoine Poulin replied for the Thunder.


Bonnyville Pontiacs - 2    Lloydminster Bobcats - 1
Tyler Henry and Dillon Currie scored for the Pontiacs, who picked up their first win of the pre season.  Bryce Sawers replied for the Bobcats.


Okotoks Oilers - 3   Calgary Canucks - 2  (OT)
Scott Bolland scored at the 2:52 mark of overtime to give the Oilers the victory.  Former Storm Nolan Huysmans, and Josh Clark also scored for the oilers, while Jared Wynia and Evan Bayko replied for the Canucks. 

Sherwood Park Crusaders - 6     Spruce Grove Saints - 2
Crusaders got goals from six different players - Peter Quennville, Nolan Yaremchuk, Garth Wallin, Colby Croft, JC Heck and Ryan Harrison.  David Glen and Nick Scott replied for the Saints.
